Delete your Liveink account
Liveink does not ask for an email address, phone number or password to create an account, so you delete your account from inside the app. If you no longer have the app or your phone, you can ask us by email.
Delete it in the app (takes effect immediately)
- Open Liveink and go to the Friends tab.
- Tap the Settings (gear) button.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the warning and tap Delete forever.
You need an internet connection. If you are offline the app tells you and keeps everything, so you can try again.
Ask us to delete it (without the app)
Email [email protected] with the subject Delete my account and tell us:
- your display name in Liveink, and
- your 6-character invite code (shown on the Friends tab, or in a link you shared).
Because we hold no email address or phone number for you, we may ask for one more detail that only you know (for example the names of two friends in your list, or your recovery code if you made one) to be sure the request comes from you. We reply to confirm and tell you when it is done. Without enough information we may not be able to find or verify the account.
What is deleted
From our server, at once:
- your account: ID, display name, invite code, access tokens and signed-in devices;
- your profile: time zone, language, avatar and profile photo, birthday, quiet hours and other settings;
- your sign-in links (Google, Apple, recovery code) and notification tokens;
- all your friend connections, friend requests, bonds, relationship status and your private labels for friends;
- the latest drawings you sent and the latest drawings friends sent to you, your Memories, reactions and receipts, and photos you added to drawings;
- every chat message you sent or received (they disappear from your friends' conversations too);
- your live drawing state.
Your friends' apps are told that you are no longer their friend. On your phone, the app erases your account, friends, received drawings, history, Memories cache, unsent drawings and widget data.
What is kept, and for how long
- Drawings your friends already received may remain on their phones (their history, widget, or images they saved or screenshotted). We cannot reach their devices.
- Drawings your friends sent to you belong to their own Memories and stay there for them.
- If you reported someone or were reported, the report and its evidence copy are kept for up to 90 days to handle abuse.
- Server logs (IP address, short part of the account ID, never your name or drawings) are removed as the log files rotate, normally within days to a few weeks.
- A daily backup copy of our database is kept for 14 days and then deleted. Your deleted account can remain in a backup for up to 14 days; backups are never used to restore a single account.
Delete only some data
- Remove a friend: open the friend and choose to unfriend. The latest drawings between you two are removed from our server.
- Remove your profile photo in your profile settings.
- Unused accounts: an account with no friends that is not used for 90 days is deleted automatically.
